Sad and Happy Times

Hey y'all. Sorry it has been so long since our last update. We've been on an emotional roller coaster for about 3 weeks now. Andrew's Grandma passed away on Monday of this week. She had gone in 2 Sundays ago to the hospital for lung problems. It appeared that she was getting better on the following Tuesday, however, on Wednesday the doctor called Andrew's mom, saying that she wouldn't make it through the night. So, we decided that we would go up that night. It was really nice because she not only lived through the night, but was coherent the next day and we were able to talk with her a little. However, she seemed to get worse as time went on. We ended leaving on that Saturday with a sense that we would probably get a call at any time with the news that she had passed. That phone call came on Monday night. The funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, July 1st and we are going to head up there this weekend to be with Andrew's family.

In other news, Cameron is doing fine and the baby is doing just fine as well. We had an appointment, which seems like a month ago, but was only about a week or so ago. We heard the heartbeat again and the midwife said "You're pregnancy is going perfectly!" That was nice to hear!

We also set the big appointment for our Ultrasound to check the baby's organs, bones....gender, etc. The appointment is set for July 15th. Exciting times! We are going to find out the gender. We figure, why not? I mean it won't be a surprise when the baby is born, but we figure having a living creature coming into the world will be a surprise enough at the time of birth. Plus, it will help us plan a little for it's arrival.

Okay, so the news y'all been waiting for....dum, dum, dum, how much weight we've lost/gained.

Cameron: 4 lbs gained

Andrew: 8 lbs. lost
Plus, Andrew maybe lost a couple pounds with his smashing new haircut.

Week 15

Howdy!
We are finishing up week 15 and about to start up on week 16:)! My stomach IS growing now and I am feeling more normal than I have the past 14 weeks. My eating and sleeping habits are less Pregnant and more Everyday-Cameron. However, Andrew says that I am still more emotional than Everyday-Cameron! Speaking of being emotional, Andrew and I were having a date-night on Saturday and we had borrowed some movies from the local library to watch that night. Well, I initially wanted to watch something action packed and exciting, so we popped in Frequency. 10 minutes into the movie Andrew looked at my what must have been very frightened and stressed face over the events that were unfolding in the scene, and stopped the movie. He looked at me and said, "I think you are too emotional for this kind of movie right now. Let's watch Anne of Green Gables." What a sweet heart. We watched Anne of Green Gables that night. (a great movie I might add. . . .sigh. . .)
Here is Andrew's belly picture for this week.

Isn't he a cutie! His weight has not changed although he continues to exercise most days of the week and practice good eating habits. With me on the other hand, the scale at the gym tells me that I have lost one pound :( . I am eager to see what the weigh in will be for the two of us at the next baby appointment at the clinic.
When I was working at the end of shift this past Thursday I was rubbing my belly because it was so round (at least in my eyes) and a co-worker approached me and said, "Awww sweetie, that's just your bloated belly." Being bloated was not new to me since I have been pregnant, but I didn't think anyone else noticed! Sad times, but the true big belly is on it's way I'm sure! Here are two pictures of Cameron's belly for this week. However, one was taken in the morning and the other in the evening so you can see the slight difference.

The one above was taken in the AM and the one on the right in the PM.:)
Not a big difference but it's enough for me to notice when I try to bend over and tie my shoes!
Well, this little one still has a long way to go and we continue to pray for it's health. The baby is about 4 inches long and weighs roughly 1 and 1/2 ounces. The baby is moving about, but I have yet to feel it myself (I may have already, but blew it off for stomach grumbles or something). I should expect to feel it any day now, but it might not happen for another 5 weeks or so.
Anyway, I am not feeling the creative juices tonight, so that is all for now:) Have a great night and we will bring you up to speed in about a week!:)
